Locum Legal Clerk – £10 - £15 per hour Umbrella – Part Time – Office Based – West Midlands
Venn Group's specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Legal Clerk position for a Local Authority based in the West Midlands.
The team are looking for someone to carry out the role for an initial period of 6 months with the likelihood of being extended. This role is advertised as an office based position, seeking part time candidates for 21 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will be proficient using Microsoft programs and have professional experience working within a law firm or Local Authority. They will have a thorough understanding of legal case systems and how legal teams function.
Duties may include:
- Preparing and drafting standard legal documentation, performing legal analysis and conducting legal research
- Writing letters and taking phone calls on behalf of the Local Authority
- Keeping records up to date and using diary management systems
- Assisting on a variety of tasks relating to Highways, Public Rights of Way and Commons
- Giving general administrative support to the wider Commercial Law Team
