Locum Litigation Team Leader – Remote Working – Rate flexible D.O.E. – East Anglia
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an East Anglia based Public Sector Organisation who are recruiting for a Locum Litigation Team Leader to join their department. This is a full-time position which can accommodate a remote working arrangement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a conscientious, proactive Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister to become a part of a successful, engaging establishment.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Litigation and be comfortable with handling a busy caseload. Having experience of supervising a team of Solicitors is also required for this role.
This role will best suit candidates that have a broad working understanding of litigation but specifically have experience working of Housing Litigation and housing disrepair matters. Candidates that work purely as Housing Lawyers may also be considered for this position.
Daily duties may include:

Proactively managing a team of Litigation Lawyers alongside a caseload of clients dealing with issues such as Possession, Housing Disrepair, Homelessness, Debt Recovery, Unlawful Evictions, ASB Injunctions

Providing legal advice on Public Law and Litigation matters including but not limited to - civil actions and judicial review

Managing a team of Solicitors

Representing clients and liaising with third parties to discuss any matters regarding legal practise in relation to the organisation

Negotiating costs and instructing other lawyers on housing matters

Providing general advice on any other Housing work

Assist other case handlers with their caseloads

Providing support to the leadership team by complying with company policy in accordance to regulatory matters such as time recording and billing, SRA compliance, Lexcel and other accreditation schemes

Identifying and managing risks associated within the realm of legal practise in the organisation
The rate on offer for this position if flexible, and the end client is able to consider applications and associated rates on a case-by-case basis.
