Locum Principal Planning Lawyer and Legal Services Manager – Full Time – Hybrid – 3-6+ months – Midlands
Venn Group’ specialist legal team are currently working with a well-established Local Authority in the Midlands who are seeking an experienced Principal Planning Lawyer and Legal Services Manager to join the team on an interim basis.
The Role:
- Position: Principal Planning Lawyer and Legal Services Manager
- Working Arrangement: Full Time
- Rate: DOE
- Duration: 3-6 months with the possibility for extension
- Onsite Requirement: Hybrid, 2-3 office days per week required
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the legal services in planning, litigation, governance, and regulatory affairs
- Managing a team of 7 staff members including Solicitors and Legal Administrators
- Providing strategic legal advice to various colleagues within the Council alongside supporting the Monitoring Officer on a variety of mattets
- Attending committees as required
About You:
- An experienced Principal Planning Solicitor
- Experience within Legal Services management
- Ability to attend the office as required
- Strong management and interpersonal skills
