Locum Senior Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer – East of Englands – initial 6 Months+ – Remote Working – up to £45 per hour Umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority in the East of England area who are recruiting for a Locum Senior Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join their department.
This assignment is offered on a full-time basis however candidates possessing relevant experience who can only offer part-time hours will also be considered.
The contract is for an initial period of 6 months and will be worked on a fully remote basis. This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within Local Government and have the ability to effectively manage a fast-paced and varied caseload.
Daily duties will include:

Reviewing existing contracts, revising and amending existing contracts to make them fit for the Council’s purpose

Drafting novation agreements and providing guidance on incomplete contracts and also contracts which have concluded

Advising on a range of local government law issues, including governance arrangements for shared services, data protection and freedom of information

Drafting agreements including grant and loan agreements and service level agreements

Efficient management of workloads adhering to given timescales and budgets
The role is offering an attractive rate of up to £45 per hour umbrella dependent upon experience.
