Locum Senior Commercial Contracts Lawyer – East Midlands – Hybrid Flexible Working – 12 months+ – £45-50 per hour (Umbrella) D.O.E
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Senior Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join a prestigious Public Sector Organisation in the East Midlands area. This assignment will run for a period of 12 months with the likelihood of extension and will be worked on a hybrid flexible working basis. The successful candidate will be required to attend the office once per week.
This assignment is offered on a full-time basis however candidates possessing relevant experience who can only offer part-time hours will also be considered.
The ideal candidate would be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive who is able to handle a caseload of contracts and commercial matters with professional experience gained within Local Government.
Duties may include:

Acting as a legal advisor to client organisations in relation to commercial, contracts, procurement, trading and corporate law to ensure compliance with statutory duties, obligations and to protect the best legal interests of the client organisations to the highest standard.

Preparing, negotiating and advising on all aspects relating to legal projects involving multiple agencies and client interests, including the third sector and charitable organisations.

Acting as a source of legal and procedural advice and support to any of the client Committees and or Directorates to ensure that a strong corporate governance culture is achieved and when necessary to cover the absence of colleagues.

Conducting and managing a wide ranging caseload of both straightforward and complex legal and advice work.
The role is offering a rate of between £45-50 per hour (Umbrella) D.O.E.
