Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Medical Resourcing Assistant for an NHS Organisation based in Worcester.
This role is initially for 3 months, working 30-37.5 hours a week paying £11.31 per hour inclusive of holiday pay PAYE or £13.01 via Umbrella.
This job role will be full time on site.
Duties will include:
- Prepare and process documentation relating to the recruitment of and appointment of doctors in training and career grade medical staff
- Support the Medical Resourcing Administrator with the recruitment and appointment process to Consultant posts, in accordance with legislative requirements and Trust procedure
- Produce and maintain induction packs for Foundation, Specialty and GP doctors in training
- Support the Medical Resourcing Administrators with salary calculations for medical staff, obtaining relevant IAT (Inter Authority Transfer)/testimonials to verify previous service
- Deal with face-to face enquiries and visitors to the department. Provide an initial contact point particularly by telephone for general queries, escalating or referring on as appropriate
- Provide support to the Medical Resourcing Administrator with the processing of removal expense applications and ensure that applications are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with the regional policy for Junior Doctors
- Advise medical staff on the maternity/paternity leave application process in line with the Trust’s policy and procedure. Ensure the required documentation is processed accurately and in a timely manner, liaising with the individual/Clinical Director as appropriate and maintaining computerised records accurately
- Action the monthly expiry reports for registration, immigration and fixed term contracts for medical staff. Issue reminders, follow-up outstanding issues and alert the Medical Resourcing Administrators to any potential problems prior to expiry dates
- Support the process for reporting relevant information to Health Education West Midlands for doctors in training, including sickness, removal expenses and tier 2 reporting in accordance with UK Visas and Immigrations requirements
- Maintain and update a number of operational process spreadsheets/databases to ensure that accurate records are maintained
- Support the Assistant HR Officer/Medical Resourcing Administrator with the local management of the West Midlands South Foundation Programme allocation process to ensure Foundation Doctors are appointed according to regional/national guidance
- Undertake administrative tasks as requested and provide cross cover within the Medical Resourcing Team
