Venn Group are currently working on a position with a highly-regarded organisation based in Oxfordshire, to source a Receptionist/ Events Assistant for the following assignment:

Salary: £12.25 per hour plus holiday pay (£13.73)
Hours: 30 per week
Your duties will include:

The Receptionist/ Events Assistant will be required to work closely with the Thames Valley Team to provide key support to the Events Centre and ensure it runs smoothly,
providing a top-quality service to all guests and delegates. -
Working within the Thames Valley Team, under the direction of the Manager, the post holder will provide support by undertaking a range of administrative tasks associated with the efficient running of the Events Centr

Tasks vary but can include undertaking pre-event work, meeting and greeting, answering queries from staff and guests regarding room set
up, IT provision and other areas, and ensuring all events and meetings run with minimal disruption -
The successful applicant will be required to understand the setup and operation of Audio Visualn equipment including, but not restricted to, ceiling mounted projectors, laptops, audio loops,
reception display screens, video conferencing equipment, conference phones and speaker setups -
The postholder will be based at the Reception desk of Chancellor Court and will be the first point of contact for all visitors and the majority of the incoming calls.

A key requirement will be the ability to communicate clearly and professionally to a wide range of stakeholders, both face to face, via telephone and in writing

In addition, the postholder will be required to provide general administrative support to a range of workstreams across PGMDE on an ad hoc basis as required

This work will be varied and include, but not be limited to, updating records, producing simple data and supporting discrete projects as required

This will include supporting the Manager on a range of building and estate matters, including liaising with various contractors and suppliers, managing building
maintenance and supporting the issuing of staff ID badges and door release cards -
The post holder will be guided and supported by managers, colleagues and other stakeholders but is required to be well-organised and is expected to be able to progress to the level that they
can manage and prioritise their day-to-day activities to meet deadlines with limited supervision -
Strong professionalism, interpersonal skills and a customer-orientated approach are essential owing to regular contact with trainees, delegates and other stakeholders.
