Operational Support Officer (Facilities Management)
We are currently working with a local authority who require the interim assistance of a Facilities Management Support Officer. The candidate will be working with the Facilities Management team.
Role responsibilities:
- Provide premise management support service across the office accommodation portfolio
- Ensure a safe and operational environment for all staff and public using the establishments, which consist of offices, Town Halls and public space
- Liaise with internal and external customers and other stakeholders in support of project work
- Provide support to Regeneration & Growth projects and service delivery as required
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance task on request both internally & external to the building using appropriate, equipment, and materials and power tools as necessary
- Maintaining, monitoring and preparation of site prior to occupancy
- Checking sufficient resources and monitoring supplies throughout including the setting up of furniture and a range of audio visual equipment
- To carry out a variety of building maintenance inspections identifying general maintenance issues
- Liaison with Building Surveyors as appropriate
Key essentials:
- Experience working in facilities / estates management and building supervisor role
- Knowledge of Premise Management requirements in respect of Health & Safety, security systems and alarm proto calls
- Experience, Knowledge and ability to carry out a range of building maintenance and DIY tasks
- Must be able to work flexible hours
Start: ASAP
Rate: Negotiable based on experience
Duration: Three months initially with likely extensions
Hours of Work: Full time (Shift work alternating weeks, with some ad hoc weekends)
