Outreach Recovery Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a highly established charity for a Recovery Worker to join their outreach service in Bedfordshire. This is a full-time temporary position and are looking to get someone started as soon as possible.
Location: Luton
Hours: 37.5 per week
Shifts: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday; with one late (8pm) on Thursday
Length: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
Rate: Up to £15.00 per hour including holiday pay (dependent on experience)
Daily duties:

Manage a caseload of 20+ clients with complex needs e.g. Domestic Violence, Substance Misuse

Carrying out client assessments and co-ordinate a person-centred recovery plan to promote effective recovery including referrals to other community agencies

Provide support and advice to service users, their families and potential service users about harm reduction

Identify achievable goals and incorporate those within recovery plans, ensuring that clients are able to work through their plans successfully

Carry out risk assessments and reviews with special attention to safeguarding concerns

Facilitate client contact and communicate via telephone, online and face-to-face to encourage and ensure safe engagement in treatment
Essential Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with people with substance misuse or a complex client group

The ability to manage your own caseload of clients and have a passion for supporting people in their recovery journey

An Enhanced DBS with the Adults and Children’s list from within the last 3 years or the willingness to obtain one
