Patient Safety Manager
Venn Group are currently working with a busy NHS organisation in Hertfordshire who are looking for a Patient Safety Manager to join their busy team immediately.
Duration: 2 months initially
The Patient Safety Manager will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that incidents are dealt with and managed correctly and in a timely manner
- Using outcomes from incidents to help inform and lead changes, bringing about and informing improvement initiatives across the organisation
- Supporting the incident investigation process which will require close collaboration with those heading up the investigation and action planning leads
- Taking care of a caseload whilst working collaboratively with other members of staff within the Patient Safety team
- Offering high level advice and support in the overall management of serious incidents
- Provide highly competent and professional advice on the protection of patients, staff, visitors and the Trust’s assets
It is essential that Patient Safety Manager must have the following skills and experience:
- A strong background working within Risk and Governance in the NHS
- Experience initiating and co-ordinating the investigation and follow-up of serious untoward incidents
- Expert knowledge on risk and incident management and patient safety initiatives
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working alongside stakeholders of all levels
