Job Title: Payroll Bureau Assistant
Job description: We are recruiting for a Payroll Bureau Assistant on a permanent, full time basis for a well-established and reputable organisation based in Derby.
You will be part of the Payroll team helping with the day to day administration of weekly and monthly client payrolls.
Location: Derby (DE24) with up to three days hybrid working
Salary: Competitive + study support
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Day to day administration of weekly and monthly client payrolls; including administering RTI submissions and processing end of year forms
- Sending BACS payments
- Calculating benefits and producing P11d’s and submitting to HMRC
- Dealing with statutory payments including SMP/SSP
- Setting up, administering and dealing with queries regarding auto enrolment.
- Proactively carrying out payroll reconciliations and analysis with no supervision
The ideal candidate will have:
- Your own initiative to resolve issues and assist the team where possible
- Knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments e.g. redundancy, SMP, SAP, SPP and SSP
- Excellent communication skills
- Wide experience in all aspects of payroll
