Payroll Officer

A position has arisen for a Payroll and Finance Officer to work in a medium sized Charity.
Rate: £28,000-£30,000 per annum
Length: Permanent
Job responsibilities include:
- To maintain the HR/Payroll database in an accurate and timely manner – producing HR/payroll reports as required
- To process and update changes to employee records
- To collect and record monthly sickness returns received from services across the UK
- Validate and process staff vehicle documentation for mileage purposes
- Manage the payroll team mailboxes – organising, handling, and responding to emails as appropriate
- To maintain payroll archives
- Support the monthly payroll audit processes
- To manage banking returns received from services across the UK, compliance checking and reconciliation checks
- To update the billing system accordingly
- To download and reconcile All-Pay transactions and post to relevant documents
The successful candidate MUST have:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in Payroll
- Finance administration experience
- An excellent understanding of transactional accounting procedures
- Unit 4 Agresso system knowledge is desirable
