We are currently supporting an extremely fast paced organisation in Leeds City Centre in their search for a full time Payroll and Accounts Assistant.
This role blends both a busy payroll function with various other aspects of finance, keeping the position varied on a day to day basis. This role is ideal for those with payroll experience looking to broaden their finance skills alongside.
Key Responsibilities of the role include –
- Reporting directly to Assistant Accountant
- Processing weekly payroll (approx. 1,000 workers)
- Inputting timesheets
- Processing of internal payroll (approx. 300-400 workers) using Sage Payroll (overseen by Assistant Accountant) including all necessary reconciliations, reporting and employee queries.
- Ensuring full starter documentation and RTW is processed for all new employees
- Tracking of holiday pay accrual and payment of holiday pay when requested
- Processing and issuing sales invoices from internal database, including preparation of invoice trackers and payment applications for self-billing customers
- Setting up and tracking of workers paid through own limited companies and issuing monthly statements for tax purposes
- Credit Control, posting of purchase invoices, bank posting and reconciliations
- Any other ad-hoc requests
