Interim Pensions Officer required immediately
A position has arisen for a Pensions Officer within an NHS organisation in Gloucestershire. This would be a 12 month Maternity Cover contract to assist the Pensions Manager with the provision of an efficient and effective pension’s service to Healthcare Organisations in Gloucestershire and any other bodies as agreed.
Hourly Rate: £13.01 - £14.44 via Umbrella
Contract Length: 12 Month (Maternity Cover)

Your duties will include:
- Assist the Pensions Manager in providing a comprehensive pension service to both staff and Managers
- Maintain proper and accurate records as per the NHS Pension Scheme Regulations and ensures internal audit requirements are adhered to
- Clear any data cleansing issues that are raised by the pensions agency
- Use the NHS Pensions Agency “on-line” system to produce accurate and timely information to the Agency and employees
- Deal with queries from employees and Managers relating to pension matters in a professional and timely manner
- Carry out manual pension calculations ensuring accuracy and accurate interpretation of NHS Pension Scheme Regulations
- Verify the AVC & NEST Pension deductions and make payments to the appropriate provider in a timely manner
- Agree personal objectives in conjunction with the Pensions Managers, in accordance with the Trust’s appraisal system
- Process Pension Scheme “opt out” and Refund Forms ensuring accurate employee records are maintained
- Support the Pensions Manager in the production of procedural guidelines for all tasks undertaken by the team and to assist in their ongoing review and maintenance
