Permanent Position – Commercial Property Lawyer – Agile Working – Up to £57,432 – East Midlands
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Commercial Property Lawyer to join a respected Public Sector Organisation based in the East Midlands.
This is a permanent position offered on an agile basis with some presence in the office for essential business and infrequent travel throughout the region may also be required.
This position is offered on a full time basis and is ideal for a candidate qualified as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister.
The Client also requires the candidate to have knowledge of landlord and tenant matters, licence arrangements, sale and purchase of freehold property, wayleave arrangements, telecoms/mast leases/licences, title enquiries, overage payments and other property-related matters.
Daily Duties may include:
- Acting as a resource to advise on a range of commercial property requirements including and carrying out all necessary advisory work
- Managing a varied Property portfolio including a number of industrial estates located across the region, retail units, offices, education and leisure venues
- Working on Commercial leases, licences, easements, agreements for lease and conditional contracts
- Dealing with freehold and leasehold disposals
- Drafting and negotiating freehold transfers, deeds of surrender and investigation licenses
- Proactively co-ordinating and managing a large number of instructions
- Supporting client departments on land and property, highways, commercial contract and procurement matters
- Advising landlord clients in relation to a range of issues related to Commercial Property lettings , including but not limited to forfeiture, peaceable possession and potentially recovery of rent arrears
- Working to recover vacant possession of premises which may involve debt recovery proceedings
- Drafting Commercial Property related statutory notices and representing Commercial Property landlord clients in County Court forfeiture proceedings and completing all paperwork required
An attractive salary of up to £57,432 is on offer for this position but dependent upon experience the rate may be further negotiated. The role also offers excellent Public Sector benefits such as a generous pension, flexi-time and Annual Leave allowance.
Candidates must also note that this position will require frequent drug testing, 5 years continuous UK residency and the ability to uphold the values of integrity.
