Planning Locum
Venn Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Planning Locum to join an established legal team within a Local Authority in the South West. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the region’s leading planning teams and undertake a high quality of planning work with the involvement of highways and enforcement/litigation.
Location: South West
Set-up: Remote working
Duration: 6 months+
Rate: £52ph
Hours: 25 hours per week
IR35 status: Inside IR35
The successful candidate will:
- Have the ability to manage their workload unsupervised and be highly organised
- Deal with a high volume and complex s.106 agreements and highways agreements
- Advise on rights of way, s278/38 agreements, committee work, enforcement notices, major road schemes planning matters and highways advice
- Provide legal advice on major compulsory purchase order matters and responsible for land assembly and acquisition negotiation
- Assess and deal with the status of public highways including High Court and Land Tribunal action
- Advise on bridge construction, waterways, licenses, title issues, estates and flood prevention
- Handle planning appeals and public enquires
