PMO Lead - SEO
Location: London Based / remote working
Length of contract: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
A Central Government organisation is seeking a Programme Management Office Lead to lead a small programme management team for a largescale HR Transition programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small programme management team to lead and embed programme management methodology across all people transition team activities
- Manage and track delivery of people solutions
- Lead the HR Transition Team PMO team and function including, governance and reporting activities across the HR Transition Team
- Build working relationships wider project teams, specifically with your opposite numbers in PMO teams to align planning and reporting regimes
- Collaborate with other HR Leads both internal and external in developing delivery plans and track and report progress, including key relationships within OD and Strategic Workforce Planning, HRBPs and HR Centres of Excellence and the Workplace Transformation team
- Lead risk management activity, including identifying and working with risk owners and mitigation managers
- Support Governance activities, providing secretariat support as appropriate
- Lead ad hoc PMO related activity, such as resource planning and managing budgets for the HR Transition team
Key Requirements
- Experience of leading a PMO team and/or deploying project management principles and disciplines to plan, structure and track multiple work streams activities
- Risk management experience
- Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Excellent communication skills and developing suites of reporting products and establishing reporting cycles
- Knowledge of governance and secretariat activities
- Experienced in using MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience of leading PMO activity in a people solution context
- Knowledge of HR principles and processes
