Interim Principal Governance Lawyer – 3 months initially – Full-time – Local Authority
Venn Group’s specialist Local Government Legal team are currently working with a Local Authority based in London, who are known for their excellent team culture, to recruit for an Interim Principal Governance Lawyer to join their department.
This is a full-time role (36 hours per week) on an initial 3 month contract with hybrid working available. Competitive rates are offered on an Inside IR35 basis.
Some of the key areas of responsibility for the Interim Principal Governance Lawyer include:
- Legal Services & Governance
- General Civil Litigation
- Providing legal solutions on matters relating to local government law, public law, information law
The ideal Interim Principal Governance Lawyer will have the following:
- Must be a qualified solicitor or barrister or legal executive with a current practising certificate
- Knowledge of local government law, public law, information law (including Investigatory Powers) and governance and related areas
- Experience leading the provision of legal advice and representation at a senior level
- Experience of providing legal services relevant to Local Government
