Job Title: Indirect Procurement Manager
Duration: Permanent
Location: Staffordshire
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
Rate: £35,000 - 45,000
An opening has arisen for an Indirect Procurement Manager, on a permanent basis in Staffordshire This position will require candidates with a strong experience managing high value clients, be confident in their ability to analyse and influence senior management and hold MCIPS/ MRICS qualifications
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Day to day running of the indirect procurement team
- Interaction with internal/external facing departments and Suppliers is required to deliver the responsibilities of the post.
- The Procurement Manager shall operate under the direction of the Head of Procurement and is expected to deputise in their absence
- In addition to external representation at national events where the need arises, the post holder will lead and manage the Procurement team
- Scoping, developing and finalising general Tender documentation upload to the e-Tendering system and manage the Tender process, ensuring all communication to Tenderers is via the portal
- Research the market for suitable Suppliers of the goods/services and be able to liaise with the stakeholders on the product/service area, offering technical procurement support/advice and guidance to Faculties and Departments to aid decisions as required
- Assist in the preparation of reports internally and externally, including statistical returns and data analysis as and when required
- Assist the Head of Procurement with promotion of the section and broaden the understanding of Procurement’s role
- Liaise professionally and confidently with Stakeholders concerning the tenders received and the evaluation process
The successful candidate will have:
- MCIPS/ MRICS status
- Experience in a similar role at a senior level
- A strong commercial mind set
- Effective communications skills to include report writing and presenting skills.
- Stakeholder management skills – including the ability to maintain effective relationships with internal & external relationships
