Programme Director LMC ED Flow
Venn Group is currently working with a prominent London based NHS Trust who require an Programme Director of their LMC ED Flow Team.
Rate: £375 - £445 / day (inside IR35)
Length: 3 Months Initially
Location: London
Hours: Full time (37.5)
Partial WFH
Main purpose of the post:
The Programme Director is a key leadership role with individual and functional responsibility for assuring, driving, reporting and tracking the successful delivery of a complex strategy across an individual programme of work. Programme Director will play an instrumental role in delivering the Transformation strategy, providing both the programme management expertise to co-ordinate the Programme Workstreams and leading and supporting the numerous service redesign projects that form the overall programme.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Operations to identify and develop opportunities for system, local & Trust level integration
- Support clinical standardisation of medical specialities across site
- Support the Director of Operations in securing appropriate clinical engagement for the Programme, ensuring the key clinicians are active participants in shaping the Programme and the development of new or improved services
- Take responsibility for the management of the Programme ensuring that it is designed, delivered and governed to achieve the Programme’s objectives
- Manage the programme lifecycle to ensure key clinical service change is identified and delivered realising tangible benefits and improved outcomes for patients.
- Design and implement the Programme’s governance framework ensuring that issue resolution is embedded and that risk management is aligned to the corporate approach, with corrective action taken in a timely way.
- Manage the Programme budget, monitoring both expenditure and cost and understanding the impact of the Programme on the organisation’s financial position.
- Ensure that the Programme is delivered within its agreed parameters, for example, cost, organisational impact, rate / scale of adoption, expected / actual benefits realisation.
- Devise a reporting structure that facilitates a broad understanding of the programme and its objectives, appropriate ownership across the organisation and effective decision making at all levels.
- Establish a programme office function for the Programme that acts as the information repository for the programme and ensures that the Programme documentation is managed and disseminated as appropriate.
- Lead on benefits management for the Programme, working with stakeholders to ensure that identified projects would support the delivery of the Programme and organisation objectives.
