Venn Group is working with a Local Authority in London to recruit a Programme Manager, to develop and coordinate a work programme across regional health and social care
The Programme Manager will support the development of the Adult Social Care offer as part of the broader integration agenda across a region of London.
This role will be considered on a 4-day per week basis.
Responsibilities of the Programme Manager:
- Act as a key point of contact for health colleagues across the region, to support good communication between the ICS and the Adult Social Care Departments
- Development of business cases that address the needs of adult social care across the region as partners develop new ways of working, models of integrated working etc.
- Coordination of the regular meetings, ensuring that a forward plan is in place to enable members to have developed and discussed their approach to issues and challenges
- Identifying agenda items and providing summaries of any recent policy or working group discussions, as appropriate
- Representing senior leadership at meetings, working groups etc as required, ensuring that the role social care plays and work it does is understood, particularly the provider market
- Horizon scanning for local and national policy/ guidance/ examples of good practice
- Formulation and coordination of local authority information such as finance and performance data
- Liaison with health partners to ensure the voice and understanding of the role of adult social care is understood, ensuring all the consequences of decisions are considered
- Regular liaison with Department of Health and Social Care London Assurance Lead, providing updates and feedback on current issues from social care and acting as a link
Required experience of the Programme Manager:
- Experience of project and programme management
- Track record of developing and delivering policies and programmes in either Adult Social Care or Health systems
- Experience of working with partners, providers and senior staff within a health and/or adult social care environment
- Knowledge and understanding of how to carry out effective partnership working
- Understanding of the needs and responsibilities of wider social care market
