Project Manager – Economic Growth and Development
Based in London
Length: 3 months initially
IR35: Inside
Daily rate: £250 - £300 Ltd
Remote working, to start as soon as possible
Brief:
One of our Local Authority clients is looking to hire two Project Managers to provide interim cover for permanent roles during an initial 3 month period, where they will contribute to supporting local businesses who have been affected by the pandemic.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop a scheme for discretionary grants, collating and evaluating applications and dealing with complaints, enquires and FOI’s
- Producing communications and newsletters to businesses on how to access other forms of support
- Insight, research and survey work to understand the impact of the pandemic on local economy by engaging with businesses to understand what their challenges are and how this can be addressed
- Attend and present at business network meetings representing the council/business team
- Commission and tender business recovery projects and initiatives
- Looking at the future of highstreets, town centre and industrial areas and how they may need to adapt based on the new ways of working
Essential experience required:
- Understanding of grant schemes, business growth and economic development
- Previous experience within a local authority setting
- Project management skills but does not require a qualification in project management
- Ability to pick tasks up quickly and take initiative
- Background in grants or financial management would be beneficial
