Project Worker – Employability and training service
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a charity’s specialist service supporting vulnerable homeless people to source employment and volunteering options. This is a full time, permanent role in Cambridgeshire and will be an excellent chance to work within a continuously developing organisation.

Shifts: 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday
Daily responsibilities:

Work closely with vulnerable homeless clients and rough sleepers to identify appropriate opportunities for self-development, skills building and employment

To support the delivery of learning and development services providing opportunities for service users to access employment, volunteering and training that help promote self-development

Identify new services, organisations and agencies that can provide opportunities for rough sleepers and build a network in order to open new pathways for service users

Oversee a small team of volunteers that specialise with employability skills such as job searching, CV building and acting as an employment coach to support service users after gaining employment

Facilitate a range of activities such as drop-ins, 1 to 1 sessions and group appointments to provide person-centred support across a range of various needs

Complete accurate and detailed documents to record progress, KPI’s and ensure that the service is developing positively
Essential requirements:

A confident, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude that will help to drive the service forward

Previous experience working with vulnerable people, ideally homeless or vulnerably housed

Knowledge of supporting people with building skills, finding self-development opportunities and working with other services
