Public Health Consultant- Commissioning and Prevention
Start: ASAP
Rate: £900 per day Umbrella Inside IR35
Location: East of England
Duration: 6 months initially
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday-Friday
Summary:
Our client is looking for a Public Health Consultant who will be working with the Director of Public Health (DPH) and other consultant colleagues to lead on improving health and wellbeing which is underpinned by the statutory duty, to take such steps as it considers appropriate to improve health of residents.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a change agent to enable delivery of relevant outcome indicators from the public health, NHS, and social care outcome frameworks
- There is an expectation that the role will work across organisations, be able to influence budgets held by those organisations as well as advocate for change effectively
- May hold direct managerial responsibility for services and budgets which directly contribute to these objectives and will also have substantial strategic responsibilities across the organisation and other agencies
- Deliver strategic leadership for improving the health and wellbeing outcomes of the population through effective prevention, reducing health inequalities and robust commissioning
- Require working at a population level across prevention and the commissioning of Public Health Services along with working with partner organisations to improve outcomes
Requirements:
- Meet the Professional Development (CPD), in accordance with FPH requirements, or other recognised body
- Must be on the on the General Medical Council (GMC) / General Dental Council (GDC) or the UK Public Health (Specialist) Register or other specialist register as a Specialist Register with a license to practice
