Public Health Requirements
We are currently supporting a number of local authorities with their response to Covid-19 and are recruiting to the following opportunities:
Public Health Data Manager - 4 months, inside IR35, London
One of our local authority clients is looking to recruit a Public Health Data Manager to implement strategy and contribute to a major commissioning programme.
Key responsibilities and experience:
- Build a Public Health Tableau database and automate data flows
- Create dynamic visualisations and dashboards
- Develop sound data administrative processes around health intelligence services and systems and the implementation of these
- Be a resource for data preparation, and trouble-shooting, utilising spreadsheets, maps and analytical tools across a wide range of datasets
- Significant experience in working with Tableau Prep, proficiency in both Desktop and Tableau Web
- Proven track record of establishing and maintaining databases and dashboards on Tableau server and overseeing data flows
- Previous experience working within healthcare, ideally local government
Public Health Consultant - 3 months initially, inside IR35, London
One of our local authority clients is looking to recruit a Public Health Consultant to support the COVID 19 response.
Key responsibilities and experience:
- Hold lead responsibility for key strategic pieces of work to support the delivery of local outbreak control and recovery plans, with the specific portfolio to be confirmed following appointment
- Working to develop programmes that emphasise collaborative working and take a systemic view of public health
- Need a broad understanding of health and well-being, backed up by relevant experience and technical expertise
- Able to communicate complex issues in a way that engages a range of audiences
- Design policies that translate into workable, cost-effective, solutions
- Must be either GMC or UKPHR registered
Covid 19 Health Intelligence Manager - 3 months initially, inside IR35, London
One of our local authority clients is looking to recruit a Public Health Intelligence Manager to support the COVID 19 response.
Key responsibilities and experience:
- Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification in Public Health or equivalent experience; essentially epidemiology approaches to support the planning and development of public health priorities
- Advanced analytical and numerical skills and a demonstrable ability to work with complex datasets
- Able to provide an expert lead in two or more of the following areas; HES/SUS databases, Health Impact Assessments, Health economic analysis, Data visualisation techniques, GIS mapping
- Able to analyse a range of data, including the use of statistical techniques, to support evidence based decision making for commissioning, service design and strategy development
- Experience of using a range of software and systems relevant to the designated specialism in support of data extraction, manipulation, analysis, presentation and submission, for example: Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Access); ARCGIS, R, SQL, Power BI
