Public Health Programme Officer
We are currently working with an organisation who are in need an experienced Public Health Programmer Officer to join their multi-disciplinary Public Health Division on an interim basis.
Role Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the development of programmes, policies, strategies and interventions in a number of public health areas including physical activity and economy
- To support the project management and delivery of public health programmes, policies, strategies and interventions linked to the portfolio
- To ensure smooth organisation and running of the Creating an Active City Forum
- To support the project management and delivery for the Creating an Active City Forum, ensuring communication with other forums
- To support the monitoring and performance management of PH commissioned services
- To support Public Health activity through developing relevant subject matter expertise and technical skills
- Identify and use suitable sources of data and carrying out data analysis to help establish health needs
- Engage with citizens and other stakeholders to understand the local context of and feasibility of interventions
- Communicate and present innovative solutions and best practice for health and wellbeing issues to stakeholders and citizens
- Support work on equality impact assessments as required
Key Requirements for the roles:
- Local Government Public Health experience
- Experience of reducing inequalities at scale
- Experience of working with a wide range of partners and stakeholders in support of Public Health outcomes
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 months contract initially with likely extensions
Rate: £250-300 via umbrella company (Inside IR35)
