Interim Purchase Ledger Assistant Immediately Required
Location: Falmouth (Hybrid Remote)
Contract Type: 1 month +
Hours: 16 hours (Mon-Fri) (2 Days)
Salary: £11.50 - £12 per hour via Umbrella

This is a very important role to deliver an excellent, efficient and accurate purchase ledger service in accordance with the Groups’ payment procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with the Finance Administrators – Purchasing to process transactions on the Purchase Ledgers through the maintenance and input to supplier accounts of purchase invoices
- Process these invoices and accounts for the supply of goods and services
- Post direct invoicing for the company and ensure timely postings to allow monthly bank reconciliations to take place
- Follow up outstanding invoices between the company and its subsidiary and joint venture companies
- Assist in the posting of purchasing card payments
- Provide advice and guidance to operational members of University staff on the Financial Regulations and Financial Controls and Authorisation of Expenditure, and Purchasing of Goods and Services
- Review daily listings of invoice postings for accuracy, check coding’s of items on purchase invoices and ensure correct analysis to supplier accounts and VAT postings
- Return invoices with no order number to suppliers
- Request new purchase order numbers from staff where these have expired
- Check supplier statements and obtain copy invoices from suppliers as necessary
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve payment and invoice queries as required
- Deal with queries within the above remit from staff
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in a transactional processing role
- Previous Purchase Ledger experience
