Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum
Job description: We are recruiting for a permanent Accounts Payable Clerk for a well-established and reputable organisation based in North Birmingham. This is a permanent opportunity to join a dynamic team to ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Location: North Birmingham, hybrid role
Duration: temporary to permanent
In this role, you will:
• Be responsible for the timely management of Accounts Payable transactions in a proactive manner to ensure supplier accounts are accurate and up to date
• React quickly to urgent supplier issues
• Check and maintain the AP mailbox and incoming post
• Ensure invoices are sent for appropriate approval in line with the company's authorisation manual
• Deal with PO and non-PO invoices
• Review and reconcile supplier statements
• Assist with the cashbook
• Prepare regular payment runs
• Provide support and cover for other team members within the AP department to ensure no backlogs occur
• Assist with month end and year end
The ideal candidate will:
- · Have demonstrable experience within accounts payable
- · Possess good organisational skills and attention to detail
- · Be available to start at short notice
