A large London based University is recruiting for a Reconciliation Specialist to start as soon as possible. The successful post holder will be responsible for the completion of a high volume of reconciliations for an organisation of 1 billion + revenue.
Job responsibilities:
- Reconciliation of the sub-ledger to general ledger for the following: payables, receivables and projects
- Analysis of aged debt and aged creditor balances
- Reconciliation of the numerous payroll and pensions accounts associated with adjustments, deductions, and allowances e.g HMRC/SAUL
- Reconciliation of the primary cash suspense account
- Daily header level reconciliation of KX (Booking system) to Oracle
- Monthly intracompany reconciliation, identification, and communication of the variances to the accounts owners to solve discrepancies between organisation's segments
- Give assurance of the completeness, accuracy, and validity of the responsible accounts
- Liaise with processing teams on any differences, outstanding issues, or unusual balances
- Provide information to support the preparation of year-end accounts and KPIs
- Provide information to Internal and External Audit as and when required
Person Specification:
- Good all-round reconciliations experience (minimum of 3-5 years) Essential
- Someone who has performed Reconciliation roles in a similar sized organisation (1 billion+ revenue) Essential
- Knowledge of using ERP systems e.g Oracle/SAP/Agresso Essential
- Candidate specifically from a public sector background(Housing, Education, Government Dept’s(Home office, HM Treasury, civil service etc) Desirable
Annual Salary: £35,477 - £38,880
