Response Lead (G7)
Location: London
Length of contract: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
Shift type: Shift pattern including weekends
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
A Central Government department is seeking a Response Lead to allocate, manage and oversee caseworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including landside, Police, Border Force, CTM, legal, policy, MPs and other government departments to mitigate operational risks by supporting the development and refinement of policies and processes and resolve issues
- Advise/coach team members regarding complex or highly sensitive case work: handling of escalated cases from colleagues that are novel, complex or otherwise highly sensitive
- Leadership and oversight: hands on support to the team including review of case work from elsewhere in the team that requires a second opinion
- Ownership of exemptions process and evolve the exemptions framework to provide clarity, transparency and in line with policy changes
- Collaboration with policy to address grey areas/live issues escalated through response teamwork
- Identify gaps and risks flagging with policy for direction and remedial action to mitigate and close these
Key Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous and changing environment
- Previous experience leading a team
- Previous experience in a case working role e.g. housing, asylum or social services caseworker, legal
- Previous experience using SalesForce
