Venn Group are currently working alongside a leading Telecommunications Service provider to recruit for a Scrum Master. You will be responsible for driving agile delivery with the cross functional teams. The ideal candidate will be experienced and capable of driving Agile practices including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Ups, and Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives using SAFe framework in a hybrid methodology environment. The role is an exciting opportunity to work on a multimillion pound no.1 project digitalising a global telecommunications provider.
Location: Remote – with occasional travel to site

Job Responsibilities:

Work in a large, complex and strategically important programme with multiple delivery teams which are often interlinked and impacting on the wider business goals

Coach team members and external partners on SAFe Agile frameworks and processes

Empower the team to self-organise and grow cross functionality

Manage cross functional scrum teams from initiation to completion that deliver business change and subsequent benefits working closely with Technology Product Owners, Chief Product Owners and Project Managers

Work with chief product owners to handle backlogs and new requests

Coordinate sprint planning, daily stand-up, sprint demo and retrospective

Monitor and control allocated project resources, maintaining progress reporting and forecasting in order to ensure projects are delivered according to scope, timeline and budget

Implement tracking mechanisms to be able to provide timely and concise updates on progress to senior management and key stakeholders highlighting areas of risk and capturing key decisions

Guide the team members to achieve optimum productivity through process improvement

Helps the team manage and track progress through JIRA
Essential Skills:
-
Experience as a Scrum Master within a Release train in a multi train complex programme

Experience working in a software development environment

Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artefacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)

Good knowledge of AGILE frameworks (ideally SAFe)

Solid knowledge of project management fundamentals and project management practices working in a hybrid methodology environment

Experience with tooling, ideally JIRA and wider project management tooling such as Project Online, Clarity
