Senior Care and Support Worker

Hours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours
Rate: £21,000-£22,300 per annum
Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Senior Care and Support Worker based in Gloucestershire. This is a Permanent role offering £21,000-£22,300 per annum. For this position, you will be working full-time hours (Monday to Friday).
Outline duties below:

Supporting the Residential Services Manager in the successful running of the residence by ensuring that the highest standards of care are provided to residents who are residing in the home, as well as ensuring the optimum health and well-being of residents at all times

Ensuring your individual team is adequately staffed and operating efficiently and effectively, taking into account resident requirements whilst adhering to budgeted target

Leading by example, ensuring that high standards of individualised care is provided for all according to their requirements, so as to ensure that each person has the opportunity to improve their independence and to achieve their full potential in the time they are at National Star

Administrating medication and carry out associated duties in line with policy and procedure, once trained to do so.

Liaising effectively with relatives and other professional bodies and to ensure that where appropriate residential facilitators liaise with relatives and other professionals

Giving and receiving formal support and development on a rota basis

Ensuring that all documentation and individual records are accurate and are presented and maintained to an acceptable standard in line with policy and procedure

Liaising effectively with all team members and report significant events to relevant team workers

Helping the residents become actively involved in the community and to encourage community involvement in the residence on a social basis

Promoting and adhere to the organisation’s health and safety policy and any other associated policies, procedures and guidelines.

Undertaking regular training, updates and professional development, and professional qualifications as appropriate

Working flexibly between sites and National Star premises as required.
