Senior Childcare Lawyer – Local Government – London
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Childcare Lawyer to join a North London based local authority that covers several boroughs, set up as a joint legal service. This role will run on an ongoing basis which is to be extended every 3 months, and can offer an hourly rate, starting at £35 per hour umbrella up to £45/50 per hour umbrella, depending on candidates experience.
This role can be worked on a purely remote working basis, following half a week induction in the office, therefore location is no object.
The ideal candidate must have prior experience handling childcare law matters within Local Government.
Your duties will including the following:
- Prepare and conduct busy child protection caseloads from issuing to conclusion
- Advise and assist social workers with regards to child protection matters prior to and during the course of care proceedings
- Advocate in both the Family Proceedings Court and the County Court and represented the Local Authority at hearings including contested hearings
The client is exetremely passionate about delivering the best safeguarding and childcare proceedings, and this role would suit an experienced Lawyer who is looking for a progressive and hard working Childcare Team to join.
You will be qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive with a current practising certificate.
