Senior Data Governance Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a senior data governance analyst to join a leading financial services organisation. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the data governance team, working with data leads, data owners and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and data quality.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in financial services and be well-versed in data governance, data quality, data framework, data catalogue, data lineage and BA skills. They must be able to collaborate well with data leads, data owners and understand financial transactions.

The senior data governance analyst will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies and procedures
• Monitoring and evaluating data quality, data security, and data privacy
• Developing and managing data governance projects
• Liaising with data owners and stakeholders to ensure compliance
• Creating and maintaining data catalogues and data lineages
• Building and maintaining data dictionaries
• Supporting the development of data governance frameworks

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:

• Extensive experience in financial services and data governance
• Strong understanding of data quality, data security, and data privacy
• Excellent knowledge of data governance, data framework, data catalogue, and data lineage
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to understand and work with financial transactions
• Ability to analyse and interpret data
• Ability to develop and manage data governance projects
