JOB SUMMARY: The post holder will be responsible for the provision of responsive, high quality Information, BI, Activity, and Finance data to the Trust. The post holder will have accountability for the specialist provision of Information, BI & Finance to the Trust’s Divisional team (aligned to Unplanned Division), and Finance Department and Corporate services. The post holder will work with other Senior Information Managers with all matters relating to technical support around information and performance management within the Trust. A key focus of the role will be supporting the Divisional team to understand performance across the Trust. The Post holder will provide a vital function between the Corporate Performance and Information team and Finance department regarding Information and BI support. The post holder will need to be able to influence others to work together to deliver mutual outcomes and objectives. To oversee the provision and promotion of the use of Information and BI systems on behalf of the organisation including dashboard development and refinement, staff training, and assessment and implementation of new Information and BI systems and processes. The Informatics Service is responsible for a wide range of information analysis relating to patient information and performance management. Responsibility ranges from data quality to detailed clinical analysis and feeds into all areas of information governance. The Informatics Service is integral to the Trust’s performance management and its specialist knowledge plays an important part in operational decision-making and corporate planning. The post holder will be expected to represent the department & the Trust at meetings and to develop good links across the NHS (i.e. hospitals within sector, CCGs, NHSE&I. The key goals for the role include:
· Working with senior clinicians and managers to extract and present information more effectively
· Transforming the way in which information is collated, assured, used and presented by the Trust
· Creating a strong relationship between clinical divisions, the information team, and Finance and HR Business Partners to ensure that needs of both the corporate and clinical divisions are being met.
· Developing and implementing strategic data quality improvement plans that take into account longer term Trust and NHS priorities and take account of the wider political climate.
· Working with other Senior Managers to help develop Trust-wide strategic objectives for information performance. Supporting the team’s operational teams including developing and managing the team’s annual business plan.
