Interim Senior Management Accountant Immediately required
Our client, a well-respected public sector body in Dorset, is looking for a Senior Management Accountant to come on board on a temporary basis for an initial 3 month contract
Location: Dorset (Fully Remote)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Length of Contract: 3 Months + (Likely extension to 6 months)
Hourly Rate: £21.02 - £27 via Umbrella (DOE)

Day to Day Duties:
- Ensure the provision of integrated efficient, effective and timely Performance Management and Business support to enable the company to deliver its strategic vision and translate this to operational delivery
- Responsibility for the provision of financial information and advice to company decision makers, external agencies and partnership organisations with specific responsibility for the development of financial and prioritisation systems
- Specific financial lead for oversight of corporate running costs budgets with function management of team responsible for financial assurance of staff establishment & recruitment controls
- To ensure financial information is processed in accordance with procedures through completion of own work & through the coordination of the work of others
- Investigation of often complex enquiries providing assistance and advice as required and contribute to corporate reporting and business planning cycle
- Prepare and complete accounts and returns, ensuring that work is completed in line with financial timescales and legal requirements, interpreting and acting on these where necessary
- To develop and implement emergent finance strategies including internal financial procedures using best practice within relevant accounting standards and company legislation
- To design, deliver and monitor mandatory online finance assurance training for all staff
- Project delivery where nominated to provide robust and confident financial control and influencing information to assist in a robust and accurate decision making process
- Link with internal and external auditors as required and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including providing assurance to Audit and Quality Committee as required
- To continually deliver and development Value for Money assessment processes
- Provide financial support services across the company to support colleagues with interpretation of data and intelligence
- Manage specific projects associated with the provision of robust requirements for the organisation, as required, including statistical modelling and analysis of data to deliver value of money and delivery and identification of QIPP schemes
- Work closely alongside the performance and provider management/contracting functions to ensure an integrated approach to provider performance management
- Provide intelligence for budget management and financial planning by analysis of complex information
Essential Skills:
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA or Equivalent QBE
- Extensive accountancy experience within the public sector
- Advanced MS Office skills
