Senior Payroll Officer
Duration: Temp to Perm
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham (office based)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, 37.5 hours
Salary: £25,000-£27,500 per annum
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroller to work within the public sector. The successful candidate will possess previous experience in a similar position and will be responsible for:
- Providing an accurate and timely payroll service for clients
- A section of weekly and monthly payroll
- Working with the team leader to ensure the team’s work is managed effectively and in accordance with the payroll deadlines
- Processing in accordance with statutory as well as the organisation's national terms and conditions of employment
- Assisting with training of new staff
- Acting as mentor as required for new and junior staff
The succesful candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above to include Maths and English
- Experience of managing own workload and payroll allocation
- NHS experience is desirable
