Interim Procurement Opportunities
Based in London (hybrid working)

One of our local authority clients is looking to recruit two experienced Procurement Professionals to lead of a variety of IT/Corporate procurement activities and improve processes within the Council.
Procurement Category Officer – ICT and Corporate
- Leading procurement, management and monitoring of contracts and suppliers in Digital and ICT
- Working under the Category Manager for Corporate Services and IT – the successful candidate in this role would be expected to provide the procurement lead on a range of projects and be a procurement point of contact for colleagues across the council
- Able to lead and advise on a wide range of procurement processes using various recognised processes, open/restricted tenders as well as a range of Frameworks
- Confident in working with and supporting colleagues across corporate and IT services
- Able to deal with and manage a big workload
Senior Procurement Manager – Policy & Contract Development
- Undertake a systematic review of the commissioning, procurement and governance activities
- Develop processes and procedures, guidance notes, and specialist tools
- Develop the definition of pre-procurement activities to be undertaken by Commissioners
- Reinforce Social Value with workable policies and priorities that achieve Council objectives and Ethical Codes and “best practice” throughout the Councils Supply-Chain
- Reinforce our Carbon Neutral policies and objectives throughout our Supply-Chain
- Lead the development of the central procurement function Team consisting of: Procurement Analysts / Procurement Officer / Contracts & Supplier Development Manager / Contracts & Admin Officer
- Deputise for the Head of Procurement
- Develop training and guidance materials on all aspects of procurement – investigate the use of technology for “on demand” training
