Service Desk Analyst

Venn Group are currently assisting a client who is looking to recruit a Service Desk Analyst to provide 1st and 2nd Line IT support to 300+ users located in head office in London and remotely across our satellite offices throughout the UK.
Duties will include:

Provide support from telephone and email requests from users for all hardware and software calls including
-
Dell PC, Dell Laptops, Polycom VOIP, Mobile MDM and multi-functional devices (Xerox).

Software and desktop applications including Microsoft Office 2016/365 applications, recruitment CRM (Microdec Profile)

Log support calls from all levels of the business (via Service Desk Plus) and document their outcome to help facilitate the resolution of common queries (Problem identification and management)

Ensure that the Helpdesk calls are current and messages and updates are logged and escalated as necessary to 3rd line support

Setup users (Active Directory) including security groups, email accounts and network folders.

Deploy PC’s and peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment

Reimaging PC’s using Windows Deployment Services and maintaining updates using Windows Server Update Services

Install and configure operating systems and software under direction of the Infrastructure Engineer

Maintain the existing PCs and peripherals to standards determined by the Infrastructure Engineer

Assist in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software

Escalate problems and incidents to the Infrastructure Engineer

Actively participate in technical projects under the guidance of the Technical Service and Operations Manager
Specific Knowledge & Experience:

Administration of Windows 10 and MS Office 2016/365

MS Server 2012/2016/2019, MS Exchange 2016/365 administration, Windows Server Update Services
-
Office365, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune, Autopilot

Mimecast
-
Active Directory and Azure AD
-
ITIL, Helpdesk systems, basic networking, routers, switches, Citrix XenApp, LANs and WANs, Sophos Antivirus, Backup software.

A good understanding of VOIP telephony systems knowledge an advantage
