Service Transition Manager

Venn Group are currently working alongside a global Telecommunications company to recruit a Service Transition Manager to lead the Service Transition work stream(s) of a project or product delivery, acting as the key interface between the project team and all areas across the business both from an operational and technological perspective. This role works across multiple work streams, on multiple projects managing the readiness criteria and ensuring the implementation of a readiness strategy. Successful candidates must have experience in the telecommunications / cable TV industry within both an operational and technological environment.
Main Duties:

Responsible for the management of Readiness across the Technology and Business teams

Create and track readiness criteria, deployment plan, weekly readiness forums and communication plans

Support warranty post launch and ensure a quality delivery

Identify and manage business risks and issues; conducting impact assessments and identifying potential areas of conflict across work streams, business units or between projects and manages

Co-ordinate requirements and success criteria of customer trials, testing and pilots and reflect these in the business and technology readiness plans

Implement change within a cross-functional complex organisation, this will include operational and technological changes

Accountable for ensuring any application and infrastructure changes are managed into the existing technology estate. Has the ability to identify potential areas of conflict between new and existing support models

Responsible for co-ordination of UAT, governance gates, and ensuring that both the business and technology areas are ready to accept the new changes into their operating model

Manage successful launch of systems, data migrations and new applications
Essential Skills:
-
Must have PRINCE 2 or other recognised industry qualification

Ideally has ITIL or other recognised industry qualification

Ideally has good working knowledge of process improvement methodologies

Has the ability to identify potential areas of conflict between new and existing support models

Analytical and forward-thinking, able to take a holistic view of the customer journey, Self-motivated, well-organised and self-reliant

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Significant exposure to working with stakeholders at a senior level

Experience of working in a fast paced, high pressure working environment is an advantage
