Staff Shift Lead

A position has arisen for a Staff Bank Shift Lead within an NHS trust in Hampshire.
Duties will include:

Day-to-day manager of the Staff Support Line and Manager Support Line.

Point of escalation for the Staff Support Line Call Handlers and the Manager Support Line Advisors
-
Point of contact for any advice or queries raised from calls to Line Managers and Staff who call into Staff and Manager Support Lines
-
Proactively maintain up-to-date knowledge of national and local guidance & best practice and Ensure Staff Support Line forms and guidance documents are kept up to date, and staff are advised of updates and changes

Responsible for ensuring Staff Support Line shifts are adequately staffed, recruited and inducted into the Staff Support Line

Ensure health roster is kept up-to-date
Skills Required:
-
Honours degree or equivalent relevant experience
-
Intermediate MS Office / IT qualification or equivalent relevant experience
-
HR experience
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to set up and lead on rolling out administrative and personnel processes and practices
-
Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy while ensuring deadlines are met
-
Ability to deal with clinicians, management and staff
-
Able to establish good working relationships, including internal and external colleagues
-
Empathetic, people solutions focussed

Ability to work through and resolve conflict

Working knowledge of clerical procedures

Ability to work under pressure
