Interim Strategy, Policy and Performance Officer - Place
Length of role: 3 months initially (full time, hybrid)
Location: London
Status: Inside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Strategy, Policy and Performance Officer to support the Councils Place Directorate, playing a key role in supporting the service on its improvement journey.
Responsibilities of the Interim Strategy, Policy and Performance Officer
- Conduct effective research to inform policy making and strategy review
- Liaise with a variety of Service Heads and Managers to obtain and report data and performance indicators
- Work on the performance scorecards and dashboards to report on a variety of indicators to inform service delivery, strategy and improvement
- To provide leadership to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery
- To provide high level policy support for the strategic meetings
- To provide leadership to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery, including the effective use of a small budget
Experience Required of the Interim Strategy, Policy and Performance Officer
- Experience working with Safeguarding Boards in similar local authority environment
- Up to date knowledge of Local Government Policy and performance methodologies
- Dynamic and effective communicator
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills
