Support Worker
A prestigious Support provider in Bristol requires an experienced support candidate with strong knowledge of supporting vulnerable clients including those that are at risk of homelessness, mental health conditions and substance misuse issues
Location: Bristol
Contract duration: 12 months FTC
Hours: Full time 37.5 Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (A mixture of working from home, in the office and out in the community)

Salary £19,793 - £21,618 per annum
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Working with the Emergency Accommodation Team, supporting clients with complex needs to sustain their tenancies
- Provide high quality support to clients with various mental health conditions, substance misuse issues and at risk of homelessness
- Work collaboratively with the clients, their families, carers and friends also various external agencies such as mental health support and housing providers
- Identify and secure housing options for vulnerable clients, work to support clients’ recovery and wellbeing
- Write and update support plans, crisis plans and relapse prevention
- Encourage clients to live independently and gain independent living skills
- Provide financial advice including how to access housing benefits or Universal Credit
- Signpost clients to external support services to ensure they receive the correct support depending on their various support needs
- Work closely with psychologists, GPs and social services
- Record client information and progression
Essential criteria include:
- Enhanced current DBS
- Knowledge of supporting complex needs clients including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health conditions and offending behaviour
- A driver with access to their own vehicle
