Support Worker vacancy waiting to be filled
Venn Group have been approached by a Housing Association and would like to introduce the following position available
Position: Support Worker
Location: Leeds
Rate: £13.00 p/hour (PAYE, inc hol pay)
Length: end of Aug
Hours: 40 hrs/p week – M-F
The role will predominantly involve:
- Providing a support service to various client groups including; Low to Medium ex-offenders across Leeds and Huddersfield
- Creating and updating assessment of clients support needs and any associated risks for up to 15 clients
- Setting agreed goals with clients in order from them to maintain their independence and working with clients and other agencies
- Ensuring that clients have the necessary means to maintain their independence
- Advising clients of their benefit and welfare entitlement and offered advice and guidance on budgeting issues
- Supporting with sourcing properties
- Supporting clients with benefit applications and housing benefit support
- Signposting clients to relevant agencies to offer them the highest level of support
- Advocating on behalf of service users with various external agencies
The successful candidate must have experience of working in social housing, be able to drive and have access to a car and have an Enhanced DBS within 1-2 years
