Vacancy – Team Leader – Allocations and Sheltered Housing
Location: WFH and Cannock
Length: 3 months
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Pay: £20 via Umbrella
Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to the Sheltered Housing and Allocations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective delivery of high quality Allocations and Sheltered Housing services in respect of the Council’s housing stock.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Co-ordinate the day to day operational delivery of the Allocations and Sheltered Housing Management Team within Tenancy Services and ensure that the needs of tenants are met
- Provide supervisory management, professional advice and support to the Independent Living Officers, Housing Assistants, Visiting Officer-Alarms and Estate Caretaker within the Allocations and Sheltered Housing Management Team
- Work in collaboration with other Tenancy Services teams to ensure the day-to-day delivery of all tenancy services as well as cross cutting service improvements and development projects
- Deliver services in accordance with agreed services standards and to agreed local performance targets
- Provide motivation, leadership and effective management to the Allocations Officer, Independent Living Officers, Estate Caretaker - Sheltered and Housing Assistants – Allocations and Alarms including:
- Establish and manage performance targets in respect of services provided by the above team members and provide corrective action where appropriate.
- Undertake Personal Development Reviews in accordance with Council policies and procedures
- Authorise leave entitlement
- Manage sickness absence in accordance with Council’s Attendance Policy
- Undertake risk assessments and ensure safe conditions under the Health and safety at Work Act etc
Essential experience/requirements:
- Previous experience in a related role
- A full UK drivers’ license and access to a vehicle
