Technical Services Manager (Fire)

A position has arisen for a Technical Services Manager (Fire) within a highly regarded organisation based in Cambridgeshire. This is a key role managing fire safety compliance processes and procedures for a six month temporary placement, until October 2021.
The successful candidate should have previous experience managing Estates compliance processes, specifically relating to fire safety, preferably within a commercial environment.
Your duties will include:

Act as authorised person for Fire holding overall accountability for that defined area

Lead a team of directly employed staff and consultants to fully implement schemes ensuring compliance is successfully achieved

Review and update strategies to ensure ongoing arrangements remain fit for purpose and compliant

Oversee the organisation and management of remedial works as a result of the PPM regime in place

Provide professional advice and guidance to the Estates Division as required

Define the schedule of inspections, tests and routing maintenance that fulfils the legal requirements

Manage a schedule of other planned maintenance outside of compliance requirements
The successful candidate should have:

You must have experience in the completion of surveys or inspections in relation to fire safety and extensive knowledge of remedial works management

Experience producing documentation to satisfy legal requirements and making managerial decisions based on the information
