Trading Standards Officer – Food
We are currently working with a Local Authority in the East Midlands who are looking to recruit a qualified Food Standards Officer with recent experience of undertaking food standards work

Candidates will work mostly on incidents, enquiries and providing business advice via telephone, email or face to face
- Inspection work will form a basis of many complaints and it is envisaged that once or up to twice a week candidates will be out carrying out inspections at businesses, whether routine or incident/intelligence led
- Working either with a colleague or sometimes on their own candidates should be confident and able to problem solve as necessary. Pool cars are available for candidates to use when out on inspections
- When not carrying out inspections candidates will work from home and all equipment will be supplied. The option to work from the office occasionally will also be available. The right candidate could also be asked to undertake a specific project.
