Interim Training Manager
Our client, a well-respected public sector organisation in North Devon, is looking for a Training Manager to come on board on a temporary basis.

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Length of Contract: 12 months
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Develop the Training Strategy and provide support for the roll-out of training to all staff in the organisation
- Responsible for the development and evaluation of training materials for applications end-user training
- Creating the course catalogue for training and competencies
- Owning and managing the delivery and maintenance of the training environment(s)
- Act as the subject matter expert and a team manager to ensure training quality and consistency;
- Co-ordinating the transition from solution definition to training delivery;
- Development of all training materials and determination of specialised and role-based/generic training requirements
- Development of certification or assessment programs
- Development of the overall training schedule and scheduling the appropriate level of training for each user
- Securing and scheduling training facilities
- Ensuring that all users who need to be trained on the system are trained prior to gaining access to the production system
- Development of an on-going training program for after go-live
- Assisting in the development of a 'go live' plan and the on-going support of the plan
- Ensuring that Principal Trainers and training team are fully prepared and competent to deliver end user training and maintain their competency
- Participate in the preparation of application test scripts, integrated test scripts, and regression test scripts for assigned applications that meet end-users needs
- Actively participate in testing the system
- Provide assurance to Programme Managers and Programme Leads on the status of training and the organisational readiness to go live
Essential Skills:
- Degree in a relevant subject or extensive equivalent experience
- Professional qualification at postgraduate level or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Public Sector IT systems
- Ability to lead others and to communicate the importance of training to all stakeholders
