We are currently recruiting for a Vehicles Parts Sales Person on behalf of one of our major clients based in Smethwick. The starting salary is 21.4k, which is supplementdd by a generous commission scheme and numerous forms of bonus. This role would particularly suit a candidate who is either a recent graduate who has strong customer facing experience in either hospitality or retail, as well as more seasoned sales professionals seeking a new challenge in a less corporate atmosphere.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Maintain profitability of parts sold through van ◦ 28% on general parts
- 15% on attachments and light equipment
- Organise the territory into efficient delivery areas and communicate these both internally and externally, i.e. delivering to particular areas on particular days
- To present and maintain a company vehicle to a professional standard that represents the brand and encourages additional sales
- Ensure any parts carried on the van are maintained in a saleable condition
- Active promotion of parts campaigns to achieve incremental sales, i.e. attaching flyers and other promotional materials to invoices
- Answering incoming calls from customers and dealing with their requests in a timely manner, and ensuring communications with the customers exceeds their expectations
- Promptly processing customer orders taken
- Targeting “growth customers” and the development of professional relationships to ensure long term business
- Develop, promote and maintain strong customer relationships
- Actively pursue lapsed customers
- Resolve with the Parts Supervisor any customer issues that may arise Input all daily activities on the company CRM system and maintain up to date contacts for West Bromwich customers
- Be a representative and ambassador of the brand, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanour at all times
- Observe company health and safety procedures and risk assessments
