Work Placement Coordinator
Duration: Temporary, End of the Academic Year

Hours: Mon-Fri- 8:30am - 4:30pm
Rate: £11.00 per hour Inclusive of Holiday Pay
Venn Group’s specialised education team are excited to be recruiting for a Work Placement Coordinator based in the Nottingham. This role will be offering £11.00 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Outline duties below

Effectively network and develop strong links and relationships with external agencies/ employers in order to consolidate and develop a wide range of suitable work placement and other employability opportunities for professional practice

Organising and co-ordinate placements for numerous students on a wide range of courses. Be responsible for tracking and reporting attendance and progress of students while in work placements

Supporting all College curriculum teams to meet the work placement requirements within their courses and programmes and report this to managers and Heads of Centres when appropriate.

Working with tutors and students to maximise each student’s opportunity of gaining a suitable placement, within agreed timescales, appropriate to individual student needs

Working with curriculum teams in preparing learners for placement, developing enrichment opportunities and careers progression sessions, via involvement in tutorials and skills workshops

Overseeing students’ completion of placement preparation modules and provide timely feedback

Maintaining accurate, detailed records of staff visits to placements, student reviews and observations carried out, providing termly reports with updates on student outcomes.

Conducting health and safety assessments of work experience placements, in person and over the phone. Assess suitability for student placements and liaise with appropriately qualified staff within college to ensure placements meet College policy requirements

Participating in courses and curriculum development activities to benefit students and meet area targets. Attend open days, school events and other promotional events as required.

Provide monitoring reports, update and audit the central placement system and College CRM This will include information on completed placements against set targets, funding body requirements and impact of placements

Undertaking quality assurance activities to ensure that all documentation and communication is accurate and of a high standard meeting employer and learner needs.

Working with the Manager of Study programmes to review and develop our approach to work placements, meeting curriculum, employer and learner needs.

Undertaking continuous professional development as necessary to keep up to date with initiatives and practice and complete mandatory training.

Allocating work associated with calls and emails to staff assigned to the project.

Evaluating students’ progress on placement through target setting with students, feedback from Employers and carrying out progress reviews throughout the year

Providing constructive feedback to students regarding their placement applications, and interviews and action plan them for their next steps.

Supporting Students with work placements in relation to Initial advice and guidance (IAG) and through pastoral support whilst learners are on placement.
